I have a keen interest in surface embellishment, particularly the effect of texture and how light plays across uneven painted, printed and metallic surfaces.

Much of my work is wall-hung pieces of machine embroidery as well as Art quilts. I like to experiment with machine embroidery over photos printed onto fabric, fused appliqué and am also interested in image transfer.

I am very drawn to working in 3D and have made a series of vessel forms including some that stand about 1 metre high. I continue to investigate 3D forms and am looking at more organic, free-form shapes that can become sculptural in nature.
