Christmas Tree Embroidery Kit

My new embroidery kit is available from my Etsy shop here.
Some good embroidery stitch tutorials can be found here: The Spruce Crafts and Wandering Threads Embroidery

Finishing your embroidery is easy. This is a good tutorial which gives more than one method: Hobbies and Crafts

To display in the hoop do the following:
1]. Turn the hoop to the back. 2]. Sew a large running stitch around the excess fabric leaving long thread ends.
3] Cut off any excess fabric but don’t get too close to the running stitch. 4]. Pull up the ends of the thread and gather the fabric so it fits inside the hoop. 5]. Cut a circle of felt and either glue or stitch it over the gathered fabric. (See below)

Halloween Bunting Tutorial
Full tutorial (with photos) showing how to stencil on fabric to make your own bunting for Halloween. The same method can be used to make bunting for any occasion. The tutorial is in two parts - stencilling on fabric and then making up the bunting. There is also a template for the bunting triangles. Because each page is filled with photos that makes them quite large files so each page is separate but they are easy to open and print if you want to.

Music
An original song, written and sung by Peter Cann. It accompanies a piece of my textile work in the TAGS exhibition at Snape Maltings.

Colouring Pages
For best results print out on good quality paper if you want to be able to use wet media. A good method I discovered (via Laura Kemshall) is to cut a page from your sketchbook leaving about 1cm or so of the page left in the book. Print the image onto the sketchbook page then re-attach it to the bit of paper left behind. Click on the image to open a new page from which you can print. Please get in touch if you have any problems.

  Printables
Greetings Card - this card prints with a narrow white border.
Leave it, or trim down to the edge of the image. Print on good
quality A4 card or paper then fold in half for an A5 card that
will easily fit a C5 envelope.
